Amid the ruthless war in Eastern Europe, the head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, said Saturday that Ukraine’s armed forces are preparing a new false-flag operation outside of Slavyansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), which is causing civilian casualties to blame Russian troops for indiscriminate attacks. According to the TASS report, Mizintsev noted: “It is reliably known that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the 72nd Center for Information and Psychological Operations is staging another large-scale provocation with civilian deaths as a result of alleged indiscriminate attacks by the Russian Armed Forces”.

Mizintsev, who heads Russia’s Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Assistance in Ukraine, pointed out, claiming that mortar crews were stationed outside of Slavyansk, DPR, in preparation for its implementation, which is set to shell the places where the local population and refugees are live live (Geologicheskaya Street) on August 7, when humanitarian aid will be distributed.

According to the TASS report, the general claimed that foreign journalists arrived in the city with the intention of filming and photographing the alleged civilian deaths at the hands of Russians in order to publicize them in Ukrainian and Western media.

Mizintsev said: “We warn the world community and international organizations in advance about the cynical provocation that is being prepared by the Ukrainian authorities.” He added that civilians would suffer and the Kiev government, given the “well-tested scenario,” probably the Russian ones would blame the armed forces for all civilian deaths, Tass reported.

Russia accused Kyiv of using children to portray victims of the explosion

Additionally, in early July, a senior defense official from Russia accused Kyiv of using children to portray blast victims in the embattled nation. During an interview with Moscow’s TASS news agency, Russian Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev claimed that the Kiev authorities paid Ukrainian children to “pretend to be dead” or injured by rocket attacks. He also said that Ukraine was unraveling “sneaky” plans to incite violence and accuse Russia of killing innocent people in Ukraine.

According to Mizintsev, as reported by TASS, “The Kiev regime is preparing another insidious provocation in Odessa to frame Russian forces or murder civilians (including minors) and deliberately destroy civilian infrastructure with cluster munitions, prohibited by international conventions .” .

Without providing concrete evidence, the Russian general said the government was preparing to give each official $500 so they could construct a “crowd scene” in which the paid children would portray victims of Russian shelling. In addition, he said that UNICEF, an international humanitarian organization, supported Ukraine in its allegedly negative propaganda.

Meanwhile, there were claims that Russian forces had attacked the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant to cut it off from Ukraine’s power infrastructure. According to Energoatom, the Ukrainian company responsible for all four nuclear power plants, Moscow is trying to “destroy the station’s infrastructure and damage power transmission.”
