Previously, Mr. Norathepkitti held various management positions in some of the most prestigious and traditional luxury hotels in his hometown of Bangkok.

Anantara has appointed the experienced hotelier, Pitak ‘Chin’ Noratepkitti as General Manager of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort. In this role, Mr. Norathepkitti will lead one of the brand’s internationally award-winning hotels.

Mr. Norathepkitti, a Thai national with a Master of Arts in Tourism, joins Anantara Chiang Mai from Siem Reap, Cambodia, where he has managed Anantara Angkor Resort for the past two years. Prior to Anantara, Norathepkitti rose through the ranks to become Cluster General Manager at Sofitel Luang Prabang and 3 Nagas Luang Prabang, Laos.

Previously, Mr. Norathepkitti held various management positions in some of the most prestigious and traditional luxury hotels in his hometown of Bangkok. His wealth of experience across many hospitality areas such as Hospitality Management and Commercial Operations equips him with a holistic approach to the hospitality industry and forms the basis of his deep understanding of all elements of the industry.

Designed by legendary architect Kerry Hill, Anantara Chiang Mai is conveniently located on the banks of the Mae Ping River, offering guests easy access to the Old City full of temples, Lanna heritage, artisan villages and hill tribes. The heart of the resort, the stunning colonial house was once the British Consulate of Chiang Mai. The home is now The Service 1921 Restaurant and Bar, charming diners with a British Secret Service concept, complete with secret dining rooms, a dungeon and a mix of culinary journeys steeped in mystery and intrigue.

Anantara Chiang Mai Resort has been voted Thailand’s #1 Resort for the last two years by readers of the Condé Nast Traveler US and UK Readers’ Choice Awards and was recently named one of the World’s 500 Best Resorts by Travel and Leisure Magazine.

With his extensive knowledge and experience of the local and international market, Mr. Norathepkitti is well placed to continue the resort’s success and will oversee a major refurbishment and implement new dining and spa concepts.
