Parallel 45 announces the 2022 season


Next year’s Summer Theater Festival will feature three exciting new shows – Cabaret, The Crucible and Alice: A Rock Musical – running from June 30th to July 31st at the P45 Amphitheater in Civic Center Park.

The annual Reading Series, which begins in January, will feature six brilliant and thought-provoking scripts, and this year it will move to the beautiful Cathedral Barns in Historic Barns Park. This spring and summer, our professional theater group will follow up on another sold-out year and offer students in grades 3-12 an expanded educational program.

KABARET (June 30th – July 26th 2022) – In a time when the world is changing, there is a place where everyone can be
for free. This summer, put on your finest boa and tallest stilettos and join us at the Kit Kat Club! Grab a drink and sing along
Your favorite jazz melodies like the Kit Kat Girls and Boys will enchant and delight your senses. P45 opens in summer 2022
Festival with a radiant contemporary theater experience by Kander and Ebbs cabaret that is bursting at the seams
Sparkle, feathers, shine and heart. This bold new production, directed by P45 Artistic Director Kit McKay (Hair, The
Sound of Music), takes you on a hedonistic romp that explores the colorful life of a seductive cabaret and takes a look at the
safe spaces created by those who live life loudly. A powerful story, Cabaret will show you that sometimes is the best way to get around
to fit in is to be noticed. Ticket prices: $ 50 & $ 40
THE CRUCIBLE (July 15 – July 24, 2022) – A group of teenage girls is spotted dancing in the woods.
If they get sick and no earthly cause can be determined, is something bigger to blame? British director Michael Burditt
Norton (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) brings Arther Miller’s The Crucible to life in a compelling, iconoclastic, and irreverent form
Spin on this central work of the American canon. Norton’s The Crucible with a sleek ensemble that all 22. plays
Characters, is a bold exploration of history and current events and shows what happens when you deal with the wild,
hormonal power of young female indignation. Ticket prices: $ 40 & $ 30
ALICE: A ROCK MUSICAL (July 28th – July 31st, 2022) – Join us for ALICE: A Rock Musical, an original parody production
created and performed by P45’s Youthquake Company and directed by Daniel Lendzian (UGLY: A New Pop Musical). ONE
ALICE brings new life to Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with a Queen”
of Hearts origin story for the ages. With pop-rock hits from the 90s and 2000s, ALICE is a rebellious story of discovery
the strength in the heart. Young artists in grades 7-12 are invited to audition for this four-week youthquake
Company training program that ends in the summer finale of the P45 season. Ticket Prices: $ 25 Recommended Donation
