FRONTEO Inc. will host an online seminar “Trends in AI, Privacy and Data Protection Laws in the EU, US and China” on January 1st, co-sponsored by US law firm Covington & Burling LLP.

In this webinar, three lawyers from the United States, China and Europe will discuss the current status and future impact of regulatory frameworks for artificial intelligence (AI) systems on Japanese companies developing and deploying AI systems. I will explain. First, we will present the definition of AI provided in the regulatory framework for AI around the world, and then how existing laws, particularly the privacy laws of the United States, China and Europe, apply to AI systems. Discuss the law. In addition, we will present the expected AI regulations in these regions and the impact on Japanese companies working on the development and deployment of AI systems.
