Pune Manufacturing Expo 2022 organized at Auto Cluster

The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) organized the “Pune Manufacturing Expo 2022” from November 7th to 9th at the Auto Cluster site in Chinchwad. The MSME Development Facilitation Office has approved the Exhibition for Subsidizing Micro and Small Enterprise Participation under the Marketing Support Program of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. BB Swain, Secretary of the Department for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, will open the exhibition on November 7 at 10:00 am in the presence of Brig NP Singh, Chairman of the Regional Technology Node (RTN), HQ Southern Command, as the guest of honour. The fair is open to trade visitors from November 7th to 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the fair, several business sessions will be held simultaneously for three days in the Auto Cluster auditorium.

Weber Drivetrain opens production facility in Chakan MIDC

Weber Drivetrain, a tech-driven sustainability EV startup, announced the launch of its automated manufacturing facility based in Chakan MIDC. Weber Drivetrain is expected to launch its product offering and solutions by December 2022. Co-founded by Prashant Shete and Sachin Jain, Weber Drivetrain has a total investment of 35 crore in Phase 1 for the establishment of a manufacturing unit as part of the Make in India initiative. The manufacturing facility will supply products with capacities ranging from 0.25kW to 4kW and will be able to serve multiple segments such as e-bikes, e-scooters and e-motorcycles. “The manufacturing unit will also help create jobs in the state,” Shete said.

DroneAacharya Aerial Innovations aims to train 500 pilots

DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited, a Pune-based integrated drone ecosystem startup, announced its plans to acquire more than 100 new drones as part of its expansion plan. The company plans to train more than 500 pilots and 25 instructors annually from 2023. Prateek Srivastava, Founder and Managing Director of DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited, said: “We have built a highly skilled and experienced team of trainers, data experts and industry experts to create a holistic ecosystem that, within the first five years of our establishment, has grown from learning solutions to services and manufacturing enough.”

DroneAcharya AI was one of the first private providers to receive a DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) certified RPTO (Remote Pilot Training Organization) license in 2022. Since March 2022, the company has trained more than 180 drone pilots. The company’s courses include drone pilot training, GIS for drones, Python coding, drone building, model aircraft for kids, drone racing, and industry-specific courses in agriculture and disaster management.

GreenCell Mobility receives ISO certifications from TÜV India

GreenCell Mobility, which offers electric mobility as a service platform, has obtained ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management System) certifications from TÜV INDIA (TUV Nord), an international group Quality certification providers. It is one of the first electric mobility companies to receive these certifications within six months of commercial operation.

ZS Announces Second Edition of ZS Prize

Global management consulting and technology firm ZS has launched the second edition of the ZS Prize – a healthcare innovation award designed to recognize and celebrate innovative solutions and help them reach their full potential through funding and world-class mentoring. The top 20 ideas from this year’s edition undergo rigorous four-week mentoring and guidance from ZS leaders for scalability and growth. The eight best teams of the 20 will present their solutions to the jury in April 2023 after receiving two weeks of additional mentoring to refine their pitch and the winners will receive the 1.5 crore award announced. Mohit Sood, Regional Managing Director of ZS India, said: “The ZS Prize will enable young innovators to create healthcare solutions that have the potential to transform the future.”
